Cookie policy
This page explains the trackers used by SignEuropa, their purpose, duration and how to control your choices.
Current status
SignEuropa only uses trackers strictly necessary to provide requested features: authentication, connection security and local storage of your choice. They are not used for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
The audience measurement category shown in the preference manager is disabled by default, and no corresponding tool is installed as of the update date. Any future addition will be conditional on your choice where consent is required.
Strictly necessary trackers
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token | Maintain a signed-in user session and protect account access. | Up to 7 days | HTTP-only cookie, Secure over HTTPS, SameSite=Lax |
| better-auth.state / oauth_state | Temporarily secure an external sign-in flow and prevent forged requests. | 5 to 10 minutes | HTTP-only cookie, Secure over HTTPS, SameSite=Lax |
| signeuropa_cookie_consent_v1 | Remember your acceptance, refusal or preferences so you are not prompted on every page. | 6 months | LocalStorage |
In HTTPS production, authentication cookie names may be prefixed with “__Secure-”. Some technical cookies are only created when the corresponding feature is used.
Your choice
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled from the banner because they support an action you request. Optional cookies remain inactive until you accept them. Refusing does not prevent access to the website.
Change or withdraw consent
You can reopen the manager at any time. Your choice is retained for six months unless you withdraw it or the trackers change substantially.
